Colouring is an effective way to alleviate stress and anxiety, as it encourages a sense of relaxation and well-being by redirecting your mind from negative thoughts. Engaging in this activity stimulates the part of the nervous system responsible for calming and relaxing the body.

Welcome to our vibrant little nook in cyberspace! We’re Alan and Victoria, a young-at-heart Australian couple embracing our creative passions, which include creating adult colouring books, in our retirement.

As baby boomers, we’re delighted to still have most of our marbles, enough energy to travel, and God’s grace to get us through each day.

Together, we’ve embarked on a journey to design colouring books, with Alan’s artistic flair for oil painting and Victoria’s talent for penning mystery novels and publishing.

We’re excited to share our love for creativity and relaxation with our colouring books, a fantastic stress-reliever we wholeheartedly endorse. Don’t be misled by our web name! Our site is all about ‘colouring for stress-RELIEF’, but that was too wordy. If you get stressed while colouring, you might be seeking perfection. The idea is to enjoy yourself and have fun as your mind finds a place of calm and the worries of the world drift away.

Since our first grandchild’s arrival, we’ve added children’s colouring books and children’s storybooks to our repertoire, and we are never bored.

So, join us as we live the dream in our twilight years, adding a touch of colour to the world!

And for those who are more HIP than hip-replacement, follow us on Instagram @keepcalmcolouring.

We love exploring Europe because it’s so different from Australia.

This is a hobby we enjoy doing together. We splash paint everywhere; even use a hairdryer. What a glorious mess!

When he’s not sketching in Procreate on his iPad, Alan loves painting with oil on canvas. The walls are brimming with his masterpieces.
